Access International has partnership arrangements with Delphos International in the projects developed by Access International. Our project development strategy is a tandem effort between Access International that secures and structures the deal and executes the contracts required under limited recourse financing. In parallel and in full coordination, Delphos International secures the respective agencies participation and the long term debt structure for our projects.

Delphos International has developed significant expertise in arranging complex and innovative limited recourse structures.

The firm has raised hundreds of billions of dollars in Overseas Private Investment Corporation ("OPIC") financings utilizing all agency programs, including project finance, political risk insurance, and investment funds. Notably, the firm has structured the first OPIC project finance "line of credit", the first OPIC quasi-equity investment, and one of the first regional/vertical funds supported by the agency.

Project Financing:
Delphos International has arranged dozens of OPIC project financings in emerging markets in a variety of industries, including power, telecom, manufacturing, construction, etc. The firm is recognized as one of the major users of OPIC programs.

Political Risk Insurance:
Delphos International has arranged political risk insurance from OPIC that serves to protect sponsors’ investments and induce private lenders to extend loans to emerging market projects.

Investment Funds:
Delphos International is the sponsor and participates in the management of two OPIC-supported investment funds for Central and Eastern Europe.

Pro-Bono Advisory Work:
Delphos International advises OPIC on a regular basis on the usefulness and impact of its programs. Its work has involved the preparation of papers, presentations, testimonies, etc. Most recently, the firm advised OPIC on the creation of a new corporate finance product for small business.
