Access International has partnership arrangements with Delphos International in the projects developed by Access International. Our project development strategy is a tandem effort between Access International that secures and structures the deal and executes the contracts required under limited recourse financing. In parallel and in full coordination, Delphos International secures the respective agencies participation and the long term debt structure for our projects. More specifically in the three Philippines power projects totaling some $ 260 million, Access International principal secured, structured, negotiated and executed the contracts on behalf of Ormat International Inc. and Delphos International assumed the role of financial advisor in the three deals.

Building on a relationship that began in 1992, Access International has developed an intimate understanding of Ex-Im Bank’s programs, regulations, and policies.

This Access International knowledge is further augmented through close collaboration with Delphos International and between Delphos International and Ex-Im Bank staff on numerous transactions throughout the emerging markets. Delphos International’s Managing Director, William Delphos, has a long-standing professional relationship with Ex-Im Bank. Alan Beard, a Director at Delphos International and former Ex-Im Bank Senior Loan Officer, brings a lender’s inside understanding of the Ex-Im Bank framework to the firm.

Delphos International has closed over 150 transactions with Ex-Im Bank. In fact, the firm has successfully utilized almost every Ex-Im Bank program including Working Capital Guarantees, short and medium-tem Export Credit Insurance, medium and long-term Direct Loans and Loan Guarantees, Project Finance, and special programs such as Tied Aid and the Engineering Multiplier Program.
